Have you ever been called fat? Ever felt like you don't fit in? Ever go to a store and the only thing that fits is a purse? Ever rocked a dress and heels like no ones business? Ever had your skinny friends wish they were bigger so they could wear clothes like you? Ever cry? Ever laugh? Ever get so mad you could hit something or someone? Ever eat a salad for dinner and then ice cream for dessert? Ever eat ice cream for dinner and then ice cream for dessert? Ever go up for seconds? Ever been told you were too big? Ever been told you weren't good enough? Ever been told you were sexy? Ever been told you were funny? Ever been told you have a pretty face? Ever been told you should lose 5 or 10 pounds? Ever been asked if you like being "that way"? Ever looked in the mirror and didn't like what you saw? Ever looked in the mirror and smiled? Ever had a fashion show in your bedroom? Ever told yourslef you look beautiful? My name is Tashia and I am a very proud fluffy woman, I am 23 years old and have been fluffy for almost my whole life, and I can answer "yes" to all the above questions. How about you, any "yes" answers in there? Well you've come to the right place, welcome to Fluffy and Proud!
I created this site about a year and a half ago and have just been floating by, updating it here and there, but now I am ready to really go full board. Every day I will write to you, I am not sure who "you" is, but I promise every day I will write. The word "Fluffy" is not something I created but I do plan on making it a household word. Fat, Plus Size, Phat, Thick, BBW, Big, Curvy, the list goes on and on...What about Fluffy? I think it has a nice ring to it, I'm not fat-I'm fluffy! Simple and to the point.
I think as women we are extremely hard on ourselves and score our own selves by what the lady next to us looks like. We listen to the magazines and T.V. as they tell us that to be beautiful we need to look a certain way. Why do we do that? When if we only open our eyes we would see women like Mo'Nique, Aretha Franklin, Beth Ditto, Jenifer Weiner and Oprah. Just to name a few. And more importantly we would see ourselves, beautiful women no matter what size, shape or color. For as long as I can remember I've always said whatever was on my mind, especially when it came to being fluffy. Now I don't know why that is, but I believe it is for a special reason. I plan to be an actress one day and stand on a much bigger soap box. This is only the beginning my friends, not only for me but for all of us, just you wait and see.
Now I am not saying that I don't have "God I look fat today!" moments, I do, but when it comes to the bottom line, I love myself 100 percent! My goal is to make all of you love yourselves just as much. Now I know I have A LOT of ladies that are already Fluffy and Proud and could probably teach me a thing or two! Please know that I share this site with you, all of us need to unite as one and help everyone feel the same way. I also know that I have A LOT of skinny ladies out there that see nothing when they look in the mirror, this site is also yours. Everyone is welcome here. I am no doctor, I am no professional, I am just a girl, a girl who knows what it's like.
So if you'll take this journey with me, I will be happy to take you on board! Some days we might vent, laugh and even cry, but I know we will have fun and maybe do some growing in the process. Welcome to Fluffy and Proud!
